Hi, my name is Hazel Elizabeth Deporah Parker.I dont really have to do much things but just take care of big bro named Raymond.my dad does everything else that have to be done and my mom does the house work. I love my brother even if he is older then me. My big brother have to be looked after because he is not quite right. If somebody ever say anthing about Raymond they would have to deal with ME because that just what im about. Many people call me Squeaky because I have a Squeaky voice but I dont mind. Many people know that i am fast as lightning. Many people call me Mercury because I am fast. I think I get it from my father because he can beat me in no time. Raymond's Imagination!!!

As I was standing on the corner breathing in the fresh weather and was about to take a quick stroll down the Broadway so I can practice my breathing, and I have Raymond walking close to the buildings because he starts to have a fantasy and starts to wonder and think he is a circus performer and that the curb is his own little tightrope high in the mid air. Even when it rains he likes to plop off his little tightrope into the mushy and disgusting mud and get his shoes and cuffs wet. He even run as fast as lighting across the traffic to the island in the middle of Broadway and give the pigeons a fit and then I would have to say sorry to the old people for his behavior but that ok because I love my brother Raymond even if he has a wild imagination. That just who he is.

Gretchen on the Broadway!!!

So as Raymond and I where strolling are way down the Broadway. I spotted Gretchen and her two sidekicks coming are way. One of her sidekicks was named Mary Louise. We used to be friends until she got with Gretchen and started to talking  about me like a dog on the street. Her other side kick is named Rosie and to be honest I just dont like her. So as they are coming closer and closer I began to think maybe I should go into the candy store and let them pass or just to cut right threw them or even step on them. Well as I was about to walk in they slowed down and front of me and I was ready to fight. I was ready to fight because I dont take no chit-chat from anybody. Mary asked me was I signing up for the May Day races and I looked at her like she was dumb. Rosie step in and said I dont think your going to win the race this time. I began to say I always win cause im the best and I say it straight at Gretchen. Then Mary looks at Raymond and ask him what grade he is in. I say to Mary if she has anything to say about my brother say it to me.Then Rosie says out the blue are you his mother. I began to get mad and I know they could see it on my face . So Gretchen and her two sidekick continued there way up the Broadway and Raymond and I continued are way up the Broadway in the other direction and all me and Raymond could do was just smile at each other.

The Run

Today was the day. The day where I was going to win the race. As I walked into the park all I could think about was the wind shooting unto my face and my arms swinging back in forth to pick up my pace. When I run I think about my family and how were living. I think about my brother Ramond too. well, as I sat Raymond into the swing I glanced across the field and I could see the children playing and giggling and I could smell the scent of the grass that bloomed into the air. I could hear the chatter of the adults and the kids that where competing. I was so elated because I had faith that I was going to win today. So as the man on the loudspeaker just annouced the fifty-yard dash I began to slip off my sweat pants and then all of a sudden I spotted Gretchen standing at the starting line, kicking her long legs out like a pro. Then as I got in my spot I could see Raymond  on the line on the other side of the grey fence, stretching down with all his fingers on the ground just like he knew what he was doing. Everytime I am about start running it feels like I am in a dream. Somewhere far away floating and relax. So as we started to run i could feel the breeze as it passes me by. I could see Gretchen trying to catch up and I could see my brother Raymoond on the side line trying to run and keep up and he actually was. This was the first time I ever stop to see my brother run. Then I thought that we now have another runner in are family. As I look in front of me I could see the white ribbon waiting for me to rip it. So as I rip threw the white I could see the people jump for joy and I began to think did I win or did somebody else win or was it all just a dream. So as I walked to the side I could see Raymond run my way. Then the man on the loudspeaker says in first place we have Hazel Elizabeth Deborah Parker and in second place we have Gretchen Lewis. I was so elated and all I could do was look at Gretchen and smile and we both standed there with big smiles of respect between us. All I could say was what a day.
